Star Wars Party Ideas
Long ago, in a galaxy far, far away, and your
child became the talk of the town by having the coolest Star Wars
birthday party ever. Star Wars has carried the excitement of
children for over 30 years and now you can bring the adventures of
the galaxy to your home.
Invitations Unfolding
Light Saber Invitations are a fun way to start the excitement for
invited guests. Make invitations in the shape of light sabers and
have the light up end longer so that it can fold out of the handle.
Use
black paper to make space invitations by adding White speckles to
create the stars. Bright gel pens can make a striking invitation
which says “Use the force to find your way to my birthday party”.
Decorations The
Star Wars movies main plot revolves around the idea of good versus
evil. Play on this idea with black and white decorations to
represent Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker.
Re-create
Yoda's Degobah world with brown and green crepe paper draped about
the house to look like branches and vines. Long balloons can be
blown up and colored to look like strange creatures and snakes.
Star
Wars actions figures and vehicles can make some of the best
decorations. Place Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Anakin and the rest
of the characters throughout the house.
Menu
Ideas
Try
serving some of these fast and easy menu ideas to keep the party fun
going and provide nourishment for Jedi party goers.
Jedi
burgers can keep your party menu simple while incorporating the Star
Wars theme. Have your little Jedis make the burger magically
disappear using “the force”, or their stomachs.
Bantha
guts can be made of butter noodles with an action figure Luke
Skywalker tucked inside. Thanks to Han Solo's quick thinking,
Luke Skywalker is safe and party goers will have a tasty side dish.
Dagobah
punch can be made by adding lime sherbet to lemon-lime soda and
dropping in some dry ice. The swirling smoke creates an eerie effect
reminiscent of Yoda's final home.
Princess
Leia ice cream sandwiches can be made by taking big chocolate
cookies and making ice cream sandwiches. The shape reminds
party goers of Princess Leia's famous hairstyle.
Party
Games
Put
C3PO back together. Oh No! They blasted poor C3PO and now Chewbacca
has to put him back together. Take a picture of the famous android
and then cut his body parts out so they can then be reanimated.
Pin
the light saber on the Jedi. Simply take a picture of the party
boy's favorite Jedi and have party goers take turns pinning mini
light sabers to the Jedi.
Your child's
birthday can be a magical celebration with a little imagination and
some simple planning. Make sure you offer these ideas as a
foundation and let your child create the rest of the party
activities.
